How do I access the proving grounds and trials?

I go to the pylons and I can't use them

Well for most people they finish the main story and pick up the eridian analyzer from a pedestal in the great vault and use it to activate(translate) the various Guardian beacons which sets missions to navigate to the various grounds and use the drop pod.
Some have reported that the analyzer is bugged for them.

beat the main story, after there is an eridian pillar on each planet you go to for each proving ground and trials.

i have all trials if you would like a taxi to them and they should just be open for you!
