Borderlands 3
Is there a canon reason to why the slag element is no longer present?
In BL2 Slag and Eridium seemed to be somewhat related (slag was made out of eridum or they were extracted from the same source, something like that, I can't recall precisely), so I find it odd that Eridium reapeared in this one, but there was no slag or mention of its absence.

I am done arguing with you, there is no need to get aggressive I just don't agree with you, end of story.
Arguing? you are only constantly contradicting your self, you have not even attempted to make an actual argument (aside from the fallacies like argument from ignorance - that you have mastered).

Whatever rocks your boat, have a nice day.
"Canon?" That's a loaded question as your interpretation of the word "canon" is not clear, but implies a meaning of regimented and unthinking adherence to dogma. The answer may actually be simpler than that:

In my case, I did not like slag weapons, as they often required you to SWITCH WEAPONS after applying slag "damage." Screw that. My philosophy is Jakobs in nature: If the first gun doesn't do the job, you're using the wrong weapon. The only time I want to switch weapons during battle is if I A) Run out of bullets, or B) Need a bigger gun.
