HELLSHOCK gigamind drop BROKEN??

I am in need of your advice Bl3 community. I have been trying to grind the hellshock drop from gigamind in the meridian metroplex and have not gotten it yet.
I have killed him 50+ times and still no drop.

I am on:
Mayhem 8, kill him in under 30 seconds, using lootsplotsion mayhem modifier, and using an artifact that gives me more luck.

Is it just a really rare drop? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better place to farm the Hellshock?


I am confused why it hasn't dropped yet because with other legendaries (kaoson, sandhawk, etc.) I can get them after three or four attempts.

Hellshocks drop somewhat regularly from all sources.

In the most recent 7/23 patch they changed the dedicated drop of hellshock. Gigamind no longer has it in his dedicated drop pool. It drops now from Vermilingua

That's because a lot of drop locations have been changed in the last patch and it no longer drops from Gigamind. It apparently now drops from Vermilingua (sidemission The Homestead in The Splinterlands)

Just so you know, Hellshock can also drop form the Fabricator or whatever the gun that shoots gun name is. Will also have M-level on which you use the thing.
