how to track "global" challenges?

i see a lot of this "challenges" being completed, but i cant find where to track or see a list, and what is the purpose, i mean what is the reward for completion?

Seems to be Eridium, which is used to buy cosmetics and stuff from Crazy Earl. Not sure where the tracker is though. There's the Guardian Rank thing in the tab menu, but that seems unrelated... and keeps telling me it's locked until after the story. Which makes me wonder why it's even there at this point, while the challenge tracker is missing...

Check mails in socian in menu while playing. You get weapon from manufacturer when challenge completed.

is just strange we cant track this, in bl2, if i remember right we track this at the badass menu wich i think in bl3 is equivalento to Guardian Rank

Thought I'd found it for a second... turns out if you open the map screen (tab, then second icon from the left) there is a tab for challenges... but it doesn't seem to list the standard challenges, i.e. "get critical hits with assault rifles", "kill skags", and the like. Just some local exploration targets (Typhon logs, claptrap part salvage, etc.) which are for some reason labeled "crew challenges".

Agreed! I feel the challenges are either bugged or missing.

The challenges-menu, that you´re looking for, is well hidden. You have to zoom out the map to galaxy overview. There should be the access button to the challenges, like "kill xxxx enemies", "achieve critical hits", "gain second wind with weapontype x", and so on.

Its hard to see but press q on that menu
