Denuvo - 5 Activations per 24 hours machine activation limit ?
So, let me start off with stating that I have used Google. I could not find the exact answer I'm looking for. Someone in the reviews stated he couldn't boot the game up because he was on his 5th time playing the game on the same PC in the same day. Is this true or is he trolling? Denuvo is something like many tend to avoid like the plague. I heard rumors that it affects people like me who like to record and stream gameplay whether it be Twitch or YouTube. I switch out games multiple times a day, and I just want to make sure what that statement means 100% before I buy the game again.

Hmmm, why would anyone need to install their game on 5 pc's a day? seems odd no? Thanks for the reply btw. I'm tempted to buy the game again on PC. I own it on PS4 Pro, but rather mouse keyboard for a FPS

No, whatever that reivew was. The person has no idea what they are talking about, and is just jumping on the whole Denuvo thing. Its 5 devices not 5 startups.

I've got my primary desktop, my secondary desktop and my laptop and my backup desktop, so there's 4, I imagine there are others that have 5 computers in their homes for whatever reason, but I'd just say that they're being generous by offering up to 5 pc activations per day.

In general I switch between my laptop and primary desktop sometimes frequently

I kinda figured, but just wanted to make sure 100%. Why on earth would anyone need to activate a game on 5 pc's every 24 hours? seems like an odd restriction no one would ever use?

I guess I'm just oblivious to the fact that some people have not only multiple PC's but multiple PC's they want their games on.

Thank you for all the replies. I'm pretty sure I will be buying this again since it's on sale, and I want to try mouse / keyboard gameplay.

It seems someone is posting misinformation in the reviews section, again.
At least Epic Games Store does not have to deal with this kind of user functionality.

It seems like people could have posted all the technical issues the game had at the initial launch to warn potential customers in the review section.

Honestly the only reason I don't like EPIC is because I already have Steam, Uplay, Origin, Blizzard, and having to add that final Epic one would make my OCD go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy. The other launchers I don't have much of a choice as if I want to play those games, they'll never be on Steam.

Most people who complain about Denuvo more often than not have no plans to buy the actual game, and are just upset they have to wait longer to Pirate it. It does not have any significant effects in any way to you or your game otherwise.

I would advise you to move to GOG, as it is the only known platform with its people retaining their moral integrity. Supporting anyone else is not an option, unless you do not care about the future of this industry.

It has significant effects. Not always. But if it's implemented badly it can de facto decrease the performance heavily. Also, it adds space which is not that much to care about but for some games it's about 400 % of the original game (if the game is 100 MB). Not that I'd care much about that on my gaming pc but it seems stupid anyway.

And the "most people complaining about Denuvo don't want to buy the game but pirate it" is stupid and more baseless than any claim about Denuvo's bad effects.

I've never complained about Denuvo because I never had performance issues myself with my gaming beast but there are enough examples of games (I don't own) where the Denuvo implementation is an obvious issue.

Well I bought the game, and let me say this...Red Dead Redemption 2 Rockstar version runs better on my PC than Borderlands 3. Read Dead on med / high I get 40 FPS, so I lock it to 30. Borderlands 3 I have full med locked at 30 FPS, and it dips frequently to 22 FPS during fights with 4-5 mobs. I had massive gunfight in town with Read Dead and never once dipped under 30 FPS. Is that Denuvo doing that?
