hmmm i watched around 5 different playthroughs of Tales on youtube, and i don't recall a single instance where zer0 was referred to as female, sorry, but can you link a video or something, i just don't believe that
google: "Michael Turner is the voice of Zer0 in Tales from the Borderlands."
ummm, i don't understand where you're getting voice of female from, the voice actor is male, and his voice (although altered by some type of filter) is masculine to me, even if it's not as deep sounding as the zer0 from BL2 and BL3, i'm not sure if they used a different voice actor for those two games, or if it was the setting on the voice filter, but all 3 sounded male imo
but then Michael Turner alone continued the voice for Tales, and also for BL3
yeah i will admit that i noticed that as well, it was definitely higher pitched than his BL2 voice, but it still sounded within male range to me, we'll have to agree to disagree on that point, but i understand where you're coming from now
i think it was probably an error/misjudgement in the sound department when they were editing it

i believe this is the voice we're discussing, i still stand by my position that it's within male range, i do agree that it's higher than it was in BL2, also, the MANNER in which he spoke his line was... it was more flamboyant than usual, so i can definitely see why you thought it was a gender swap
true, and especially so in japanese voice acting, as many of you might know, goku from dragon ball z is voiced by a woman in the japanese version
you aren't saying it, OP is saying it.
what i gathered from your response accusing me of "being so high and mighty as to make a judgment of what is and isn't a troll thread".
you are arguing that OP isn't trolling and that this is not, in fact, a garbage troll thread.
you communicated that you think i am wrong in making a judgment that OP is trolling.
so i challenged you to explain why you think OP isn't trolling.
so, i very politely asked you to explain why OP is justified in feeling marginalized .
i'll admit i may have made a mistake in assuming OP is a straight white cis male, when i don't know who they are, but OP's main complaint is that males are not being represented equally, so they definitely are arguing from the male perspective
I also like that one boss character in BL2, the one that says "this isn't over . . ..grinder!" when you kill him , because he reminds me of Christopher Walken in the bears movie "This is not ovah. . . .bears!".
i never denied that this game biased from a feminine perspective, but i don't see how that means it's marginalizing the least marginalized community in the world.
i think a lot of it is being done just because the story requires it and also because the devs thought it was funny, but yeah, some jokes fall flat.
i don't care for Tannis at all. She is not funny.
This is constantly moving the goal post, first you ask me to justify a view I don't hold, then when I re-iterate I don't have that view, you ask me to justify what you perceive the OP is saying, despite them having not said it, and also if it's to be taken as a troll thread that re-contextualises everything the OP said as their intent is clearly something off here.
Myself I read it more as the intent was to draw attention to some of the issues they had with the plot, in a divisive way that is trying to get a rise out of people. As such I wanted to speak on what I was perceiving as the take on the plot as my perception of it was that the thread seemed to be going down the wrong line of questioning.
I wasn't accusing you off anything, however what I was trying to get at is, if you feel this is a Troll thread, and I don't feel like it's a troll thread. Why actively try to stop people having a discussion. You've already said:
Which is what seemed iffy to me. Overall derailing threads is bad, so why just because the thread is a troll should it not have the same chance at a discussion as other threads. In a way I guess I could argue Troll threads are marginalised.
I made a joke about you and some other forum person sharing 4 pages worth of dialogue, where I couldn't recognise any of the character name you were using from this game. So I just made a joke that a lot has been said and that I was making my post in relation to the OP and not the random stuff in the thread that didn't seem to have anything to do with the game, which was basically confirmed by the line "by derailing them like this".
I just came here to weigh my 2 cents on why I feel this is a product of bad writing and that it is more to blame than anything. And only because i stumbled into this thread. A wild ride indeed.
To stay on topic, I feel it hasn't been stressed enough that the part where the Op says "you not part of the main group because your character has no development or screentime in cutscenes" actually applies to twice as many Women as it does Men.
