Tired of asking google the cap level for BL3

So I am getting different answers, what is the max level of your char you can go? With or without DLC's

FYI the history of level cap increases is explored in this video.
The cap increases coincided with the release of extra content but the cap increases themselves were free. Many players at the time were upset because it made the gear they had farmed redundant.

does it matter what the level cap is?

they're going to increase the level cap again sooner or later anyway

in BL2 they increased the level cap almost 7 years after BL2 came out

I will have a look at this video

there's no guarantee that it will be the final level cap increase

so if you're going to waste your life putting together an inventory with all max level guns and gear, then prepare for them to become useless overnight at any point in the future

EDIT: i mean, not technically useless, you'll still be able to use them if you lower the difficulty level by switching to a lower mayhem level, but then it'll feel like you're playing on easy mode and that's not satisfying

They haven’t indicated they are going to do this. Bl2 was with some free content 7 years sure but most players had moved on the other projects and it was to generate interest in 3. I can’t see them doing that again.

nobody anticipated fight for sanctuary coming out either, and yet, it happened

Yeah it came with the DLC for free, will they do it for BL3? Maybe but it would be several years at that point. As it is currently they have no further updates or plans for BL3.

i know a level cap increase isn't an issue if it's 7 years after release, because by then, almost everyone has moved onto other games so hardly anyone is going to complain, if anything, they're grateful

but for me, i honestly thought BL3 was the game i had been waiting for my entire life (before i started playing BL3, i kept playing BL2 for like 6 or 7 years almost every day), and when BL3 came out, i was convinced my search for the perfect game was over

for me personally, it really got a tick in every box, everything i wanted in a game was in BL3 (especially after they added mayhem 11 and the annoint reroll, then it was absolutely perfect), i had guns and gear at max level max mayhem and i was happy, i felt like i could play this game for the rest of my life and never get sick of it

AND THEN the "last" level cap increase happened and all my beloved items felt like rubbish, and i instantly uninstalled and went on a complaining rampage on the forums and i lost trust in BL and became a bitter angry forum stalker, always waiting for a chance to complain about this
