The D.N.A. a Maliwan SMG
The Kaoson a Dahl SMG
The Reflux a Hyperion Shotgun
The Plaguebearer a Torgue RPG (I like the effect of the rockets it fires. It's available from The Warden)
The BackBurner a Vladof Launcher
The Multi-tap an Atlas Pistol
The Monarch a Vladof Assault Rifle that is like a shotgun (available this week from Maurice's Black Market vending machine located at The Cathedral of the Twin Gods if you have the cash.
The Sand Hawk, a Legendary sniper rifle that fires a line of bullets that mimic wings flapping.
I have played FL4K characters that can beat the bosses at Mayhem 10 but have farmed gear with good rolls to make it easier. Farming gear can be a bit of a grind.
For instance to farm Cosmic Stalkers would require doing proving ground runs where the final Boss is a Saurian Tyrant. Trial of Instinct in the Wayward Tether
Additionally if you have DLC6 then you can farm a good artifact, the Company Man from Hemovorous the Invincible. It rolls with manufacturer specific bonuses which if you get a good one can buff your character.
So if you used a Vladof Monarch gun use a Vladof Company Man to go with it.
Thanks for the detailed response. I got the ultimate bundle in a sale before so I have all the DLC although I admit I haven't played most of them yet (only the tentacle one all the way through which was pretty good), pretty much because I was saving them to potentially try a different character - although I'm not committed to that necessarily.
That trial is something I tried to do early on, I think right after finishing the main campaign and getting stomped so I'll have a look at that. I did see that some of the wiki combos mention the pearl of ineffable knowledge or whatever, and I do have that (in bank).
I'm not familiar with Maurice's Black Market, but I did find this[whereismaurice.com] (hilarious). I've never played any of the other events because Maurice and the cartel are great and I've done that several times.
That's two mentions for Monarch, and I've seen Hellfire mentioned in other threads too. I don't have either one so that seems like a good starting point. I see there are a number of other legendary class mods, it seems like friendbot would probably be best for a pet build. I was doing little testing with ION Loader because of the elemental resistance, and it's pretty good on its own, but really bad for getting rezzes (super slow to try to come get me). Thanks.
1) Abilities feel so strong on mayhem because thay scale up and dont depend on your items that much. That means focusing on your abilities (i mean for example damage from your pet,
not your gun) is a reliable way to get into mayhem. Drawback is that mayhem 1-11 will feel the same in terms of your ability impact.
2) Most of the guns you meet are trash, sadly. The only way to know if your gun is good is googling or testing it yourself on the same mobs. You will actualy feel the difference if use for example free radical or deserteagle and compare it to not-so-good legendary.
3) Distribute your ability points right. If you take a little bit from every tree you most likely will end up with low damage and defence everywhere. You should take one part of your hero and focus on it while leaving others. Honestly dont know builds for fl4k but for example for moze there parts can be:
-Focusing on iron bear armor, damage and fuel whout spending points into moze herself
-Maxing out explosive damage
-Maxing out shields while wearing deathless artifact
-Take deserteagle (that has big damage but very low ammo) and make yourself an ammo regen
If you dont know where to start there are a lot of youtube videos with different builds
Overall all heros are capable to do insane damage and kill mayhem 10 bosses in seconds, you just dont know how to do it yet - and dont have right items
4) Farming class mods is truly very hard, on the other hand they dont have a mayhem lvl. Their actual lvl only matters for additional stat buffs, so low-lvl class mods are not that bad compared to hight-lvl ones
Class Mod: Stack Bot
Relic: The Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge, preferably with mag size and fire rate bonus
Shield: Suit Yourself, but 3 good ones I would suggest: Revolter, Old God, Stop Gap
Guns: Suit yourself, but 3 good ones I would suggest: The Monarch, Lightshow, Flipper
Grenade: Suit yourself, but check out the It's Piss grenade mod.
Skill Build: You can change it up https://www.lootlemon.com/class/fl4k#ciki_505035133001_2301050000000_230530530151_00500000000000
