Does anyone know if this game is abandoned? I thought there were be more DLCs coming up, but it seems like they moved on completely.

Probably abandoned seeing that it is old.
There will be a Borderlands 4.
Also talk of a new Wonderlands experience.
That could be a new Wonderlands DLC or Wonderlands 2.

and hinking about getting wonderlands, this games are so fun, can't wait for b4

To be honest i moved back to the old 3 games before it. Im close to beating BL3 but just cannot push threw the story or the dialog. All the wokeness just wrecks the game in my opinion, if it was cut down a ton it would be a good shooter looter. Heck presequel was better story wise even if you knew how some of the story was going to end from playing BL2.

yeah the story really brings down the quality of the game, but I just can't go back to BL2 after experiencing the gunplay in BL3

You can certainly go back to olay bl2 and pre-sequel they still play well at least compared to the first game. Only real issue is that it takes awhile to hit endgame compared to bl3.

anyways yes the game is finished, we might get a hotfix every 2 years or something and then a bL4 promotional ad ingame at some point maybe even BL4 promotional add-on
but no so far the game is finished

I don't know if anything has been announced.
The last I read is that the holding company of Gearbox, the Embracer Group in a quarterly update said Gearbox planned to release eight AAA games by end of 27/28 financial year.
So if you allow seven years between release dates it might come out before 2026/27 if they are working on it now.

3 years ago they stopped doing anything for the game.
Unless they pull out another promotional-stunt for BL4 there likely will be no further changes..... and we can just hope it stays that way and they don't degrade the game further than they already have.

It is nearly as buggy as BL2, several loose ends, cut features, and the most broken multiplayer of the borderlands-franchise so far.
So yes - by definition it is abandoned.

just because it has glitches bugs and bad online does not mean those need to be adressed

for a game to be finished you need to be able to start and finish it by definition...
you know how many NES games have problem with glitches or old ps1 agmes, are those all abandoned because they didnt get a fix released? You need to work on your definitions fren

I did not claim that, I claimed start to ending usually start means a startscreen and ending meaning credits (but you have to judge that case by case because how the credits are not ultimately the end anymore)

any attempts to fix the game or whatever have no part in the definition of abandon or finished product

a game is usually finished with version 1.0 and that includes start and ending, anything above that or any leftover bugs or glitches do not diminish the definition of it being finished
it doesnt matter there being bugs or problems and devs failing to fix them and leaving the production on this game, it was already a finished product

No matter how often you repeat that - no, a game with tons of bugs and the publisher refuses to do anything while still grabbing money from it - that is abandoned.

Yeah - Nes, SNes, N64, PS1 - basically every game had bugfixes and more than 1 version.
Go figure even back then when they couldn't change the already sold copies they still fixed bugs and didn't abandon it.
