Why isn't there a split-screen option in PC?

Hello! I heard this game has a split-screen option for consoles, but not for PC (at least not in an integrated way). And I wonder why some games are like that. Does anybody know if it is due to they don't care or it is just so difficult to addapt that option for PC versions? Is it maybe because there are few players who still pay atention to split-screen and they do not see the neccesity to waste time and money in that?

It's mostly because PC doesnt have a native way to split inputs for mouse and keyboard

They could still implement it for controllers, but its an uncommon feature
