Is there a way to get an offical statement from the developer/publisher on this?
If the answer is they are not doing pre sale support, then I might not be willing to buy either.
Thanks for the answers so far! At the very least they served as a sanity check. (As in I am not the only one seeing this [as confusing].)
My problem here is that this doesn't make logical sense in the first place. So I can't accept the logical statement that Denuvo is costly as the only argument. No matter how much sense it makes to me. This is just another reason to not let them off the hook too easily. Can't reward this type of obfuscation.

That's also why I don't get steamkeys for regionlocked content. Don't want to reward Valve's lazyness. They only get the sale if they actually facilitate it. If I bend over backwards to give them my money why should they even try?
