how mods work in online play?

if i download a popular mod for borderlands 3 called BL3REDUX does anyone who join my game will have new stuff or they need first download the mod manually to play in my server?

Sounds more like a virus then a mod. Probably a good way to corrupt a save file. You don't play B3 with mods, the game is easy enough as it is.

Imagine that; a person can’t even answer a simple question on Steam, without being an a-hole. Draxuss, this game does in fact have a modding community with plenty of mods to choose from. Do some research before giving an entirely uninformed and unnecessary response.

To OP; that’s a good question. If the mod alters game files, then it won’t work for others who join you. If the mod is purely server side, then, in theory, it could work if you’re the host/party leader. It’s worth a shot.
