How does one even play mayhem 10 ?

I'm dying to random mob over and over even with mayhem 10 gear and reasonable modifiers. Can't even kill a single zealot !! Is Amara really that weak or am I just dumb ?

Depends on the build, also what mayhem 10 gear? Unless it’s a legendary with a good anoint anything less is garbage.

It's not difficult, it's just slower. Always I worry about running out of ammo. But if you are having severe issues then you are probably not using good enough gear and builds. You do have to be careful though not to be too gung-ho or they will grind you down.
I don't find Mayhem fun at all. I threw all my Mayhem gear away and stuck to non-mayhem.

compared to other mayhem 10 builds and their strengths amara is KIND OF the weakest of the bunch. as it requires alot more items and thought put into your skill points. she can still demolish hordes and bosses but its just more difficult.

to put a long detailed description short. your gear has to synergize with your skills, class mod, weapons and artefact

Amara doesn't feel like she's built for mayhem honestly, and playing in that mode isn't fun unless you're willing to grind. High-risk high reward. Make sure that all your gear is at the highest levels and that you know how to get the most out of the side benefits, especially with critical hits.

Pretty sure face puncher with amaras skills and mayhem level scaling for melee it’s the best weapon for her.

Melee/orb Amara shines on higher mayhem. For anything gun related Ties that Bind and Indiscriminate are your answers.
She's definitely the weakest. Used to be strong til they "nerfed" some of her interactions. Zane has pretty much taken her place because he can do these things now.

I play with Amara on M10. Melting everything away as if it was easy mode.

I'm a bit rusty because I didn't play in a while. But even if you're playing badly, you can melt everything as you can see in the video.

It just takes a little time to get the gear but I don't think you really need more time than with other characters to get there.

But I loved the idea of floor is lava and bigger heads for easy crits and those elemental fidget spinners xD I wanted to play mayhem 6 or 10 with just random gear I could find, but man it's impossible, especially with Amara.

The link isn't working! I was thinking about putting on random stuff like white or green rarity items, but after reading the comments and looking for Amara builds, I guess I need specific gears to play it, that's not much fun for me.

White and greens on M10 you’ll burn through ammo before killing one enemy. Only good weapons at M10 is just legendaries.

Yup kept dying over and over to like one single badass enemy. Guess I'll use some mods to spice up things. Any suggestions?

Can’t say, I haven’t really used mods for any bl game. You can always browse the nexus. But if it’s balances for m10 I’d ask why you’d use low tier gear for a game mode that’s for endgame.

Also, you always need some specific gear with every character to be strong at those difficulty levels. Specific in the sense that things have to work together (synergies). Otherwise, you'll be weak with whomever. But that doesn't mean that you can't use different weapons or so. I can use a few different weapons with Amara and she's still strong.

You need to have all legendaries for those higher difficulties. But you'll also be showered by them after some point.

You will need to avoid all her melee skills. All of them. Buff elemental. Buy some legendary elemental weapons from vendor machines while you have it on Mayem 10 or 11. Open golden/ diamond keys while on mayhem 11.

I honestly have no clue how you avoid a legendary-geared out character after level 60 but, if you did, that's amazingly bad luck mixed with what I can assume must have been zero Vendor machine farming.

Get the skill that heals you for the elemental damage done.
Only need one or more points in it as long as you are doing a ton of elemental damage.
Use the F Skill augment that confuses enemies and the other that hits a couple of them.
Get high fire rate Maliwan weapons.
Put on artifacts and augments that lower cooldowns on your f skill and shield recharge- doesn't matter if these are purple. Decreasing charge time and increasing Maliwan magazine size are also stats that are helpful.

Amara isn't a tank, she's friggin Jackson Pollock. Get to painting.
