Iron Bear endgame? zane, moze

So I started playing moze, got some nice tips on how to level a bit, great. I started looking at some endgame builds on yt, all about half a year old or so and none of them use iron bear, they shoot and throw grenades.

Now can you actually do a solid build that eventually will use the iron bear or is it that you have to do that so much that it's not worth it in that you take to many points away from what would be a better build?

I thought for simplicity I would go moze but if you don't use the action skill then it feels pretty useless.

I was leaning for Zane before because I like moving fast and he can seemingly do that and since you can proc speed off the action skill with the blue tree.

Frankly this is the only borderlands game where i've had a damn time finding a clear "this is THE character for me"

what sort of build do you recommend for going all the way in green tree(I want that final skill) and in purple for iron cub and what else?

Also it seems that you need to have a gun that procs fire, that's what ignite means right? if you want to get good use out of the cub.

Bear is still solid for end game, its just like other games skills that benefit your overall character is just better. Look at all the capstones most are around Moze not the bear because you do better over dps. That said bear can dish out heavy damage on max mayhem so it can be used for "get out of danger" button.

I'm pretty sold on the cub now, I didn't even realise it was an option initially that was the problem.

I do want the final skill in green and I don't like how i'm seemingly having to proc fire to get the max out of the purple tree since that seems to be the way to with cub, I definitely want him to stay out as long as possible.

That's because out of all the characters only zane and amara get any good skills out of the fourth tree. Flak is alright if you do pets, but most of those skills don't mesh well with other skills. Plus Bear is just better overall and you have better control. But that's just me I guess.

Well once I pick a character outside of restarting after a couple of hours or so, i'm stuck and like the other games dont have much interest in replaying with another class..

Ergo I want to get as good feeling for one and what sort of things it can do so eventually maybe iron bear or iron cub we'll see sinjce respecs are so easy in these games.. if I play moze but I've been thinking zane as well.

I like his speed I guess. I wish it was like B2 where Salvador was an easy pick for my character.

Well Sal was and still is the most OP, but compared to past games you'll hit max level in a single playthrough each character isn't an investment unless you opt in for mayhem when any of that stuff matters.

Honestly im running at a true vault hunter mode with a moze+ lucky 7
I have a chalenge to finish everything with out dying once, i mean yes there are some quest that where the game forces you to die no matter what but that doesnt count

It's not like I said it couldn't, but compared to other builds and items using the regular bear and moze is fine as is. Only real benefit for me at least is that she can benefit from "while action skill is active" anoints.
