Why is this still full price?
It's been out for over 2 years (released on Epic Sept 2019) and it's not even that good from what I understand. There's no reason to still pay full price for it especially when the season pass alone costs another $50.

It's been on sale numerous times, on Steam and other sites, and Super Deluxe Edition is currently available for $27.84 on one of them (GMG) - use Google.

games usually stay full price unless their predecessor gets out but on sale it will easily go 60%+

Well the predecessor was Borderlands 2 (or TPS if you mean game launch). So I believe you mean successor (say Borderlands 4 for example).

Games stay at full price. Sometimes they go on sale, but that is temporary, not permanent. Though a game can reach a complete bundle version (say base game and season pass included), where the price is cheaper than the individual costs. There is no guarantee of when such a bundle or collection becomes available as an ongoing option.

So either buy it now on full price or add it to your Steam wishlist so you can be notified when it goes on sale. There are games much older than any Borderlands game that are still at full price and only get an occasional sale. It is not like a store having to clear physical stock. Welcome to the digital world.

It's on sale regularly either here on Steam or at Epic. Just put it on your wishlist and wait.

I think the OP is relating this to physical stock. Digital doesn't get a permanent price cut in many cases and those that do must either be very old, have the complete value bundle, or perhaps having the sequel out.

Steam's model is full price games for people willing when they want something now or grabbing it on a temporary sale (publisher, game series, seasonal, genre, etc.). You can't wait then you buy at the current price.
Really don't know where all the hate for BL3 comes from, this game is fantastic and the perfect distillation of the series up to this point.
