As far as I know Joltzdude uses (or at least used) CptnFooFoo's Save game write protector for a decent while.

It doesn't work if I post the download link here, so get it from the description below the video.
I don't know if it was the same location that I got it from last year, so I downloaded it and compared the zip file with the original. The SHA256 sums are the same, so I can reasonably assume that they are the same files.
Anyway, I use this program a lot with other BL games, but I haven't got it to work properly with BL3. I don't do read-only farming often in BL3, so I just set the file properties manually instead.
