Is this game extremely woke?

Who ever says 10/10 on the "Woke Scale" clearly wasn't a fan of the marriage of Sir Hammerlock and Wainwright Jacobs or the relationship between 2 male characters in a video game. There was nothing pandering about it. It was just character story and development. Anyone that played a few hundred hours in BL2 had a pretty good idea Hammerlock might be into men. There's "aristocrat" and there's a step beyond that. Hammerlock is a cool character despite his preference. Who am I to tell pixels who than be in love with?

Oh its pandering lol, the thing is, if you're too young to remember games before agendas... it likely seems legit, but no... it's someones agenda, crammed down your throat... recognize it, call it out, and keep going because it's not going away, especially in pop culture.

No, there's no preachiness, shoved in your face 'wokeness' in this game. Borderlands has always had plenty of female characters right from the first game. In the first game you had Lilith as a playable character, Tannis as a mission giver, and Helena Pierce who ran a whole town and gave you orders. Then the DLCs had those ATLAS assasins, and Moxxi too runings bars and the Underdome. The bad guys in 3 are like gen z influencers, they're meant to be annoying and obnoxious.

^^^ This. And the DLC story went beyond the wedding aspect, with the Cthulu theme, weird fiction, uneasiness vibe. I just wished the other characters had actually shown up to attend the wedding rather than just sending their presents along.

^^^ This. Just like pre-orders and the broken AF games that come out, no one wants to call it for what it is, because they are too busy wanting pats on the head for being "good", it is why they are so busy saying "nuh uh! Your wrong!!"
