Save file is gone.
I haven't played the game in a few months, bc I wanted to play the whole series all over again, and today I open it to find my maxed Amara gone, along with all my other characters. My save is gone and it says character pending in the corner, but nothing happens.
Please, does anyone know how to solve this ?

check your save file folder, try looking for files in the trash bin...
Back up your save files for the future

I did, the only 2 files in there are profile.sav and steam_autocloud.vdf.

Copying steam_autocloud.vdf is unncessary. I have saves for BL2, TPS, BL1, and BL3 backed onto an ext HDD and copies on my gaming PC without that specific file. It should not affect anything major as the saves for the game itself are what I need.

Sounds to me like Steam Cloud may have done its job and wiped your saves. If you do have a backup, a matter of copying and pasting those saves in "..\My Documents\My Games\Borderlands 3\.." etc should allow you to resume to wherever it is your progress is set to as long as Steam Cloud is disabled.

Not sure what else can be done. Recuva maybe?

Hey, thanks
I don't have any backup unfortunately, I talked to the support too and there's no way to get it back, lesson learned though, always backup ur files.

Use Microsoft OneDrive or Google Backup and Sync to keep running backups of your stuff. They'll even keep versions for 30 days or 100 iterations.
