deleted my game saves

so this morning i hopped on bo3 and it said sum abt save data or something and i chose save too device and now my charecters level is reset could someone plz help me

1 Try load character 2 check your recycle bin

I'll "help" You... You can copy, & paste Your' save into another folder like documents, & then if it ever happens again, You can at least go back to the point You last backed it up in this way, You can do this with MOST P.C. games (even lots of TV system games with a USB zip drive), so blaming a game, Steam, or devs is ridiculous.

Check if your saves are backed up on cloud, your game probably loaded saves from drive instead of cloud storage.

Ah I had that same problem in 2014 and I blame myself solely because I hastily logged on to Steam back then to play BL2 on my HP laptop. The Steam Cloud detected changes to my saves in SaveGame folder and prompted me to select an option. Again hastily I clicked on whatever and went on BL2 only to realize that I had lost 4 hours of progress and some gear.

Why? I really wanted to go on BL2 and continue the loot hunting and co-op so I ignored to read the Steam Cloud prompt. What had I done since? I disabled Steam Cloud synchronization and have created a copy of my saves after each session. Have done this for BL3 on Day 1 of Steam release in case of joining a cheat/hacked host or player(s).

Steam Cloud can be conflicting sometimes so it is best you leave it off and store your saves locally and if you have ext. storage like me, make more copies. You'll be glad you did.
