skill augment problem

I am a lvl 20 Moze I am going down the the bear mother tree
This is my problem, I cannot equip the second chevron on the right side
I have three chevron skills available to me I have both hexagons equipped of course the far right hexagon is from another skill tree
Do I have to have a chevron from the same tree as the hexagon? any advice appreciated (All three purple chevrons work in the first slot so they are available.)

Yes, Moze's augments only work on he skills from their own tree, like Fl4k and Zane; only Amara's augments can be used on any of her action abilities.
