Pick a build, get the gear / talents for it, watch couple vids of gameplay and enjoy.
I had same impression going from Fl4k to Amara, then I started farming for some gear to enable my build and she simply destroys. And am not talking about perfect gear or rolls or BiS, just the bare minimum (like the class com, a decent array of weapons etc).
Both Zane and Mose are the highest dps dealers in game so you should have no problems in that department.
kill lasodactyl for a couple of light show pistols
then work your way up to getting a tizzy
I was under the impression that Moze was like Zane where pretty much any gun would work (any gun with high fire rate/splash damage at least) but damn was I wrong. Guess I'll have to spec her for Iron Bear until I can get my hands on the right gear :/
It is really weird though, it sometimes feels like her shots arent doing any damage to enemies. Like, I was shooting the bubble of one of those maliwan heavys and there was virtually no damage being done. With Zane a short burst there and the heavys are a goner in a split second...
Heck what even am I saying, I'll just pick Zane and go farm these items.
happy hunting.
The thing is that Iron Bear is so overpowered its not even fun. That and for me Moze is the Moar Dakka character, playing in that mech feels like cheesing the game too much. Zane is undoubtedly a lot more OP but it feels legit.
Rocketeer class mod & Auto Bear: Bear is now a turret and, unlike Clone, can be placed anywhere you stand if headroom exists - rocks, crates, poles, trees, you decide.
You can farm non-mayhem Flippers easy and then use those to farm higher mayhem level Flippers.
Also, how you spend your skill points??
For me - when I look at vault hunters and their builds - is how much fun is playing through the content and how fast and safe I can do any part of the game with said build w/o any gimmicks. All 4 VH deliver on that aspect in various builds (that's why all of them have a selection of M10/11 builds that can do all content that been updated and playtested into the ground).
Obviously if you don't care about speed or top clears, you don't have to use meta equipment and still have a blast (see k6 / lazydata vids on non-dlc char builds and how they clear through takedowns / bosses etc). And this is the fun part of the game, being able to pick that new gun that dropped or shield / nade mod / artifact etc and have fun w/o becoming useless :D
