Can someone please help me defeat katagawa ball?

I am only level 13 or 14 and I made a huge mistake by plowing through skywell, dying abazillion times, and now I should be right outside of the boss fight if it saved where I left off. I'm way underleveled and I can't beat this thing. I will be most grateful for your assistance.

go back to sanctuary use the gold chest to pick up some good purple guns, especially a good corrosive

As a side note, I'm pretty sure I don't have any shock weapons, any corrosive weapons, it has drained most of my bazooka ammo, and I'm going to be generally useless except as a squishy diversion that you'll undoubtedly have to revive from time to time.

Everyone, if you help them get past the ball, they are only going to have more and bigger problems down the line.

OP, go and do some side quests and level up a bit. Get some better gear. Borderlands isn't designed to be rushed though - not saying you can't if you are good/lucky enough, but you aren't if you need help. If nothing else, at least go and get an ok shock weapon, the ball has a lot of shields.

while I do understand your point, and trust me I do, there's nothing wrong with asking for help, especially if it's for something as petty as a video game. nobody is forced or obliged to help anyone, but it's a choice we make out of wanting to lend a hand to a fellow community member. should they call for backup for every problem they have? they can, but it doesn't help the player improve, sorta like you said. and not to mention it looks bad for them, too. however, this is a simple jam to break, then after that, they'll have more chances to worry about improvement instead of tunnel visioning the ball so much.
