Bugged Super Soldier

Am having an issue with the Super Soldier Shield since update,
The Ammo regen stops at random times and requires my shield to be damaged and fully recharge before starting again
Is anyone else having this issue or does anyone else know how to fix it?

June 2023 Just noticed the issue myself. it's annoying. if you take the time to press Esc, then unequip the shield, then re-equip it, and let it charge to full, then it works again.

quicker fix, just noticed if I drop my shield from full at all, then let it recharge the perks kick back in again.

While Shield is full:
+50% Fire Rate
+25% Movement Speed
+5% Ammo Regen

On Shield full:
Gain a Protective Barrier for 5s that makes the you invulnerable.

Note:
Draining the Shield with an Amp part removes the Protective Barrier.

Super Soldier shield only regenerates the bullets in your gun's magazine as long as there is some ammo in it. It does not regenerate your Ammo storage itself.

While firing the gun, if you emptied your gun's magazine and forgot to reload, then the ammo won't be regenerated by this shield. You need to have at least one bullet in the mag, for the ammo regen to work. Ammo regen also happens only if this shield is full; if it is damaged, then ammo regen is paused.

Most players prefer this shield not because of the ammo regen or protective barrrier, but because of the +25% movement boost and +50% fire rate when this shield is equipped and is full. So they equip it when running towards an enemy camp or mission checkpoint, and switch over to a better shield once they get swamped by enemies.

ya no cra9 it doesnt' regenerate ammo supply, just your magazine, but it does stop working, it glitches out out within a minute or 2 (constantly really). I often have to damage the shield and let it return to full, or unequip, then re-equip it, to get the effect kick in. it most certainly is bugged.

Your magazine is your ammo supply. When it becomes empty, you cannot fire the gun until you reload the gun (with a new magazine). If you do not have any bullets in the magazine and did not reload (e.g., if you switched over to another gun before the current gun was reloaded), the Super Soldier shield will not regen any ammo.

To confirm this hypothesis, visit the Loot Lemon database, copy the code for a vladof Infinity pistol, and add the code/weapon to your game savefile using BL3 SaveFile Editor (there's an online BL3 Editor site too, no need to install anything), and run the game with that updated savefile. The Super Soldier shield shouldn't bug out when this pistol is equipped, as it has a magsize of 1, and no reload, so it can keep firing continously.

Yeah I exclusively use Super Soldier shields and find that the regeneration of the magazines ammo does stop from time to time. However because I play Mayhem 11 with an event turned on and only go to places populated by mobs it's not an issue because my shield is constantly taking damage and recharging thus resetting the ammo regen capability.
