Lemme take a crack at fixing endgame

I wanna say i love this game, i think its the best Borderlands gameplay wise. 2 definitely has the better story but 3 has the best guns and mechanics. what i dont like is the mayhem system though, i feel it segregates the community too much and if you wanna collect certain guns you are forced into certain play styles to be be effective. so here are a few ideas i spent maybe a day thinking about on how id improve the endgame in a way that will help boost gun choice and build choice.

Step one: Ditch current system

Step two: Mayhem is still used but now its not a blanket answer across the whole game but is a way to differentiate between harder quests or zones. the more challenging raid type bosses will be the hardest difficulty and gatekeeps the "best" loot.

Step three: this step is to open up more variety in gun selection, eridium is now used to improve non legendary guns. I do not know enough about tthe guns to make accurate examples but what i can say is that while legendary guns are at their peak form on drop, a purple gun can be improved upon to maybe surpass it with some grinding. eridium is more likely to drop from ranks 2-3 and rank 4 is mainly focused on legendary gear.

conclusion: all in all my goal for this is to allow players to not be forced into certain builds and guns and to be able to use weaker guns that are fun and enjoyable without missing out on most of the content. I want my lucians call to mean something again you hear me!

this is just a rough draft and ill answer any questions you all have, i feel it is leaps and bounds better then what we have currently and this was just from a single day of brainstorming.

teenage angst, we all went through it, but no, we hate her cause she is poorly written and treated as a spoiled child. she causes the death of Maya and is then made the leader later on for it. No one says "Maya dying is your fault" like they should

lawls sorry, Maya be my BL Waifu after the obvious Lilith, that being said though, there has not been a fictional and non fictional character to have ever existed that i loathe more then Ava.
