They did talk about new trees, but considering the last dlc of the first season just came out we can assume we won't get anything.
This season felt really bad tbh without anything new to rekindle the flame, every single one of the 4 dlcs are really lackluster aswell, none of them stand out like some did in the previous games.
And with all the nerfs to vault hunter, weapons, and the level cap increase which resulted in us having to farm AGAIN to get the good rolls we already had, the grindfest wasn't for me at all nor does it felt worth the grind either.
I have always loved playing the DLC characters. BL2 and Pre-Sequel I didn't even finish until, they released ones that I actually had a lot of fun playing. I went on to play countless hours with those characters on xbox and then pc.
BL3 will probably stay in the "never bothered to finish the DLC" department for me unfortunately.
Zane is kind of OK I guess but I need more than "just OK" to spend more time on it than I have.
I guess it is just one of those things where you can't like a game forever since they make so many sequels these days.
Eventually you are probably going to be disappointed and skip a game or move on to a different one.
The problem is that Gearbox is a bad studio. Basically all DLC for the pre-sequel was garbage, and two of those DLC's were nothing but a new character. So because that was poorly received, they assumed we didn't want DLC characters. Nevermind that Krieg was one of the best characters they ever made, and essentially re-invented the game for me when I picked him up.
I wish I could go back in time & give the whole Borderdlands franchise to a better game company.
totally agree^ loved playing as krieg and to the previous reply, i dissagree that borderlands 3 has " most varied skills and builds", all 3 classes/playstyles, i have 0 interests of playing them, and honestly 2 of em just feels like previous generic classes but some slight changes. then the robot guy is just a druid/beastmaster thing. thats it, nothing really new or exciting to play if you dont like playing any of those 3 specific skill sets
I apologized for my harsh response. I'm leaving it up because it's what I wrote, and the gist of it is still appropriate. But no, I'm not always an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when I respond to people. Just like you probably don't always cheat and get caught when you play games on steam ;p
