i just started the download and its 105gb, i have 100mb fiber line but still will take awhile. i haven't played any borderlands before, but 105gb i suspect alot of bloat ware. if it was optimized i doubt would be this size.

You have zero idea what you're talking about.

This is 2020 people, GTA 5 which is a 7 years old game was already about 60gb don't know what you really expect...

i have been playing games since late 80ties early 90ties. I am in my late 40ties and I am a software engineer. so please learn before attack others. i am still downloading so i have not seen the game yet.

only thing that comes close to this size is fallout 4 at 74gb or so thats unpacked and installed though was much smaller on download if i remember correctly. majority of games run around 50 to 60 gb these days after unpacked and installed if my memory is correct. but the downloads are usually smaller

Super Deluxe is currently 108.1GB, with another DLC coming next month..

Lol it's a big game with a lot of dlc. On ps4 it's a 90 gb download. Just because there are games that have smaller download sizes has nothing to do with this. Lol you must not be good engineer with that logic. :steamfacepalm:

With more voices, hight quality audio and high quality textures comes more GB to download, latest COD was 150gb once installed and the campaign is much more smaller in scope than this one. Fallout 4 is almost 5 years old and kinda looked like ♥♥♥♥♥ in front of the competition to boot.

On average AAA games are more around 80gb these days and you can expect that to go up on future titles.

most games have alot of bloat where and this game has what 4 dlc a ton? the game might be huge and alot of resource files that don't pack well for the downloadable image. but this is just highly suspect is all do its size even before unpacking it.

and yes i agree voice and video dont pack well, that maybe my issue as well i don't play a lot of fps like cod.

The size of the download is not an issue, you are taking issue with it period. If you have no control over something it is often better not to let it bother you too much. At the end of the day the download size will be the same.

Of course you are. This is one of the top stock answers when getting called out.

Yep, of course he is. /sarcasm.
@OP, most of the size is due to 4K textures. Can't be compressed more than JPG is.
Those "software engineers" know this already as they know full well how JPG work, right ?
Nowadays, many games are 50ish GB in size. Doom, Doom eternal etc ...
