This game is too hard

I picked easy mode but I still die every 5 minutes or so whenever i run into a heavy gunner dude or badass trooper. Using Amara with her grasp ability. I was expecting a faceroll experience tbh on the easiest difficulty setting.

From what I read, that is the hardest class to really play, as that one is a melee class. a good starter class is the gunner. or perhaps Zane.

Beastmaster can have insane regeneration as well if you go that, as long as the aggro with the pet, Amara takes time to get more ranged with her grasp ability.

Uhm.... the game is that easy, you can basically steamroll most of it.
If you can not than either you are really underleveled, the character and built is contrary to your playstyle, or you seriously are not good at this genre.

A) Anything you want that fits your playstyle, read through a few of them
B) Shoot them in the face many times with good guns

They're killing me before I can kill them though, is there more to it than just shoot hard?

Amara is not a melee char per say, she has some melee skills sure but she is not a melee centered class, like all Sirens she deals an absurd ammount of elemental damage, she is basically an elemental queen, with the right build and weapons she just melts everything. I have 3 Amaras with 3 different builds (Shock, Cryo and a full elemental build), and I never, ever used her melee skills.

For Amara, go green tree, second row, left side, all 5 points. She will do more splash damage & take less splash dmg. For more dmg, go red tree, first row: x x 5
Second row: 5 x x

Just to get you started, oh and Amara is def the easiest VH to play.

By level 60 you can have both blue & red trees complete, or green to Guardian Angel, full red & blue tree to mid keystone

early game you should be more "hide behind cover and shoot". end game is much better when you have all the skill points to make a preferred play style. literally the worst part of bl games is grinding through story to end-game and TVH mode. really wish i could skip normal playthrough with new characters, start at lvl40 and just TVH mode quickly to the end. it's painful and slow and harder because you dont have OP guns and skills. lvl60 is now a breeze for me

You hit the nail on the head, I started ducking and using cover a lot and while still painful at least I'm making progress now. It's not just "shoot them with good guns."

I wandered into Amara's green tree accidentally and it's been working out ok for me because of the hp regen.

Huh. I play FL4K but i've played them all and i usually get a shotgun and just kill them before they can shoot me. Double-barrel to the face commonly oneshots them before any threats are directed at me

Heavies/badasses kill my shotgun user before I can kil lthem; how do you do that much damage? It takes like 20 shots to remove the hp bar of the heavies.

Headshots and a good shotgun. At like level 9 i had a 20x10 or something, did nice numbers. All shots landed on head at point blank works wonders; not to mention FL4Ks pet distracting them

I promise you, it's all about the proper set-up. I play Zane only, but on Mayhem 10, I'm finding the game a little too easy right now. And the person I usually play with uses Moze and puts me to shame. It really is about the set-up. Go on YouTube and watch several tutorials.

Keep in mind, the game has a lot of options, but unfortunately there are builds that are destined to fail.
