Any idea ? Matchmaking works well, But friends i cannot join them, I don't know why

In many cases*, the Host (and you) must restart game to correct this issue.
If I leave a game to switch VHs or get high/lower level gear, this almost always happens.

*You can occasionally solve by selecting their alt-identity: if you joined by clicking their Steam username, select Shift username on 2nd attempt.

just tried it with a hotspot from my iphone. Now it works. Seemed to be a router problem

Yup. It's totally broken. My buddies and I can only get connected using crossplay (Epic to Steam or vice versa). Epic to Epic and Steam to Steam seems to be jacked.

We tried everything. Restarted everything. Sent invites through the game, and through steam. Tried joining the shift profile instead of the steam one. Verified our game files. We tested another steam game to make sure it wasn’t steam, it wasn’t. So that’s when I decided to move back to epic and see. Worked on the first try. But get this; my buddy was still on steam, so cross play worked. 🙄

uff same problem here, i can't conect whit my steam friend, via shift, steam in-game, steam out-of-game, no way works, neither me trying to join his game nor he joining my game... :(

I try using express vpn, and my friend using nord vpn, and we can join each other game from now on.
Tried using port forwarder method, and it seems okay too. So now i can join any game from my friend.

Sometimes it takes so long to join, and sometimes you will get notification "the connection to the host failed..blablabla" try to back to main menu both of you (you and your friend) and try to joining grup again.

If it still doesnt work, try to quit to title screen. And joining grup again in main menu.

It works for me. Maybe it will work for you too.

My friends could join themselves, but i can't join them.

Been having the same problem, i've tried everything suggested here and it just wont work.

I've got a solution for it. You have to change your internet connection to your smartphone Hotspot while you're in the game Menu of Borderlands 3. After you did that, join your friends party and change it back to your ''local internet''. If you will get kicked out of the party you have to rejoin and it will work. --> We've found a way to pass and it works! Trust me. Have fun and good luck. If you have questions write me.

again. with another connection problem thread. I never had any issues. are you connected via an ethernet cable directly connected from your router to your pc motherboard? i dunno what els to sugest if it still does not work. i never have any issues with co op on this game. infact the only game i have serious connection issues with is destiny 2 and i never fixed that issue. but everything els works fine.
