Game Disappeared

Having a really strange issue with Borderlands 3. Played it earlier, yeah? Well, I ended up having to terminate it manually because it kept running in the background even after it closed and drawing resources. After having done so, I now find that Steam can no longer tell Bl3 is even installed. Even attempting to launch it from a desktop shortcut instead prompts me to reinstall the game. Anyone else had this issue?

this game takes 3-4 minutes to properly exit - dont manually exit next time. if you cant see it in your library just uninstall and re-install the game. if you can see it in your library - verifying game cache may help.

What should have been 3-4 minutes was more like 13-14 minutes. As this went on, it began to use more and more memory. Hence my need to terminate immediately. In any case, I can't verify or uninstall, as Steam is currently behaving as if the game is not installed at all.
