I took captain traunt's Soul but not his x2 Kaoson SMG!

50+ tries, 2 days, mayhem 10 and still going...............................................

The drop rate is very low, since it is a dedicated drop from M6 and above. The hotfix today seems to have fixed M10 legendary drop rates and they are all anointed now, except shield drops. (Now getting 3-6 legendaries per kill compared to 0-3 before today)

I am also farming on M10, so far, this is my stats:
* 345 traunt kills, total of 24 Kaoson drops.
* 10 of them were x2 variants
* 3 shock (one x2), 11 kinetic (five x2), 5 incendiary (three x2), 2 cryo, 1 corrosive (one x2), 2 radiation
* Only 1 of those Kaoson had the 300% anointment and only 1 had the 1% increase damage consecutive hits anointment.

The legendary drop rate seems heavily weighted towards shields, grenades and artifacts, for me at least.
The Kaoson drops seems heavily weighted towards kinetic variant. As for x2 variant, it's super rare, as expected.

Just gotta keep farming and hope for the best. Good luck! ^^

The 70+ on mayhem 4-7 doesn't really net you anything, unless all of those 70+ kills is M6 and/or M7, the Kaoson does not drop on any mayhem level lower than M6, so the kills you made on M4 and M5 were not "useful kills" for the Kaoson.

But yeah, hope your luck turns around soon. Keep going on M10 and you'll get a x2 sooner or later. Don't give up! ^^

The 70+ on mayhem 4-7 doesn't really net you anything, unless all of those 70+ kills is M6 and/or M7, the Kaoson does not drop on any mayhem level lower than M6, so the kills you made on M4 and M5 were not "useful kills" for the Kaoson.

The hotfix today is going to fix drop rates in M10. I'd say try farming after it goes live.
