Can't join friends/friends can't join

Been playing with the same friend yesterday. Then today, for no reason, i can't join him and he can't join me. I have 1 ms latency on every speedtest. All other games are fine. Same for him.

Edit: Also we both cannot matchmake. Yesterday everything was fine.

And when he try or i try, under our nametags we can see the ''local only'' icon apearing, greyd out.

My friend and I did invite only and then invited our friends and it seemed to work, just seems like all other options do not work. Hope that helps someone else.

I had been unable to invite a friend. I tried changing my Privacy to Local Only, then to each other setting on the list before setting it back to Friends Only. Then I was able to invite him and he was able to join normally.

Been looking into this it makes no sense. I can't even go online in borderlands 2. Have contacted Shift, gearbox and 2k. They act like nothings wrong but if you dig deep theres lots of people unable to connect through the shift servers.

My friend and I also fiddled with the options for like an hour (and restarting the game and PC). Your best bet seems to be to set it to invite only and assemble the party BEFORE starting the game. We were never able to join the other's game that was in progress.

I dont know if you guys know this but Boarderlands 3 is a single player game. Maybe thats why you guys can't play with each other.

We set up a party before the game, but it just keeps kicking us after like 2-3 minutes.

this sounds like bait but the 5G towers near my house were just installed so maybe you're right.

My friend and I used to be able to join eachother's games. Now we can't. We can both join matchmaking games separately and play fine.

This is pathetic.

We can join the team before starting the game. Whoever starts the game loads. Whoever is in the party (not leader) times out on loading.

Update: We can play together as long as we first matchmake to someone else's game (a random) and they have room to invite/be joined by our friend. Talk about a backwards system.

Same problem here. Gf and I have played nearly 123 hours together, and now, out of the blue last week, we've been unable to connect with eachother. Any solutions?

I opened a discussion on this and have since found out denuvo is checking the legitimacy of the game by running it through USA server. Every few minutes it checks it. So massive lag and connection problems result. I cant hold a coop session any more in last few days. Epic or gearbox etc have screwed it up big time.
