maybe claptrap goes back through time and saves her. I would accept that.
Maybe she could be phasing back from her book I don't know! But I would accept such solution for sure, no matter how poorly explain it would be.
Ava already has her powers so..
Done is done, let Maya stay dead.
how she learn how to use them so fast that it make lilith seem dumb. Maybe she could become god revive her from her book then...

If that's not the case, I'd be more than happy to kill Ava so Phaselocking could return to Maya.
Because Troy had any trouble doing spacemagic shenanigans with Mayas powers.. right?

So now it's his purpose in life to track down the tech Jack used so he can bring Maya back. She'll be a perfect copy of Maya when she last used the New You.
Anyway most deaths are meaningless. Borderlands 2 was the first that tried to dramatize the story trough meaningful deaths, while it makes no sense. I really dislike BL2 story, the only good thing about it was Handsome Jacks character. That's it.
In BL3 at least this death is different and might be explained why it is permanent. Her death was fine, and just because she's you waifu it doesn't mean her death was "bad". That part of the story was fine.
What's wrong with the BL3 story is fairly simple: everyone always talks. Why can't they just shut the hell up? In BL1 the game lets you play it. In BL2 the game nags you most of the time, but in BL3 noone can shut their holes. Even with these same characters if they talked 90% less the story would've been completely fine by most people.
BL2, while I didn't find it that funny, was better in this regard, because there was less talking, thus there was more jokes in it in percentage.
You seem to be the kind of person who consider the last season of Game of Thrones and The Last Jedi star wars movie to be masterpiece, while in my opinion, they clearly aren't. It's not hate for hating, it's just asking the dev to care about their fans... But that's probably too much to ask.
I don't want to censor their ideas in any way, but I wish they could explain less poorly how they can be considered enjoyable for the player who care about the character involved in the story, in any way.
