How to speed up the main story, skip all that talking and instantly finish quests
So I see many complaints on how the pacing is super slow in the story due to having to stand there talking to or listening to people before talking to them instead of just running around shooting baddies and getting loot. Well here is the solution that I use.

Go to steam\steamapps\common\Borderlands 3\OakGame\Content\Paks and in there MOVE or DELETE all files that begin with pakchunk3

These files contain all the voices in the main campaign making every single "talk to" objective to complete instantly for example meeting jakobs goes from meet jakobs to go to the anvil INSTANTLY when entering knotty peak instead of having to listen to minutes of talking.

This also removes your vault hunters voice lines but if you just want to level a new character and don't care about your voice lines then no problem.

I have played through the story several times this way and there ARE some small issues that I have found:

After you insert balex into his battle suit he WILL GET STUCK but a quick save and exit will fix him and you spawn really close to that room anyway so no biggie.
Some quests that require you to escort or follow someone can RARELY bug out with the character getting stuck or just walking super slow instead of running to where he need to be but a quick save and exit fixes it everytime.

Sadly removing the videos that play in certain quests seem to break the game so you have to watch those but it still skips all the talking.

I'm not sure if you need to remove all the pak files but I can't be arsed trying to figure out what file contains what so just remove them all works fine.

This does not work on the DLC as those only have a single pak file that contains all data including the speech but those are at least not that irritating to listen to.

I HAVE ALSO NOT TRIED THIS WITH MULTIPLAYER SO CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT WILL WORK, USE AT OWN RISK!

Here is a quick demo video of the game show quest before carnevora

There is no "like" button, so thanks for this!

much more easier solution and guarantee working in Multiplayer:
Don't want to hear and doing any main quest without deleting files that may or may not break the entire game? Easy..
Go to any Youtubers who provided their save files or go to Nexus Mod and get the save file from there.

Download it and copy paste to Documents\My Games\Borderlands 3\Saved\SaveGames
and rename the save file according to your save file number.
(example: if you play 2 characters then you gonna see 1.sav and 2.sav and all you need to do is rename the save file that you downloaded to 3.sav and so on)
It did not require you to quit the game.

This is the easiest, the fastest and the safest way to speed up the main story, skip all that talking and instantly finish quests and just do all the killing and looting without deleting the core file of the game.

Dunno... don't ask me.
I just provide a safer solution than actually deleting the core file and that may break the entire game.

Look please don't turn this thread into some argument about how you want/should play, I just wanted to share my findings for those that WANT to skip all the talking when leveling secondary character or maybe even came from the epic store and just want to start new characters on steam (I had epic characters but moving the saves to steam royally effed up my guardian ranks for some reason so I just said F it and started from scratch).

Donwloading a save is 100% fine if you don't care for the leveling process and just want to kick ass with amazing guns.

If someone wants to try multiplayer using my method I'm guessing you should play with someone you know and have them do the same "fix" before starting. Do report if it worked if you do it :)

I used my method on 3 characters going from level 1 to 57 and did not encounter anything game breaking. 100% everything on one character as well for the achievements without issues.

Because the story was sort of fun the first characters first run; NOT the third characters TVHM run.

Interesting, thank you, I might have to try that someday if I ever make a new chr. Standing around picking my nose or bouncing on an NPC's head while waiting for dialogues to be over so you can click on/do something etc is one of the most annoying things in BL3 - I found it annoying even the first time I played - if they were very short or you weren't "locked in place" so to speak, it'd be one thing but they're so long and so many.

For a fast-pace looter type game, they overdid it.
