alot of stuff will trade health for a damage boost for specific items, shield capacity, or whatever else
Ya Moze has a specific skill that reserves part of her health and adds it to her shield.
Not really worth it until you can take Desperate Measures down the same tree, that will pump your damage depending on how much health you are missing and since you are missing A LOT of health due to Thin Red Line, you get a big weapon damage increase.
You need a way to heal your shield, though...
