Guide / Compilation & Theorycrafting: The Transformer + weapon / nade self heal combos!

Hi, I am now seriously experimenting with The Transformer and things that deal shock damage to self, and thought, while browsing on more than 200 items on the bank, a list would be helpful.

Im just gonna post a couple or three of examples, including some niche ones, and wait for people to contribute! As I can go mad trying to make an extensive compilation by myself, hehe.

This can also work as a mini guide for people not knowing about this.

The shield----> +++The Transformer+++ (Converts 100% of shock damage into shield's charge)

Weapons that I tried and are decently good for recharging your shields:


+The Lob+ (the most obvious one, hehe)

Shock version plus shooting point blank or at the feet will instantly heal most or all the shields. Very effective.

+Expert Storm+, which is far from meta but I really like it. Must be shoot close to point blank to get the healing, but works decently on may 3 even on may4. But its half effective, half "for fun", hehe.

+Breeder+. Got a shock one recently, and while also still far from meta, given its sticky, shock projectiles that spawn more projectiles, its actually fun, as you can go mad shooting everywhere, and getting healed non stop. Bonus points is you don't need to shot it point blank, can go in circles shooting at enemies, ground and everywhere and be kept at max shields.

+Alchemist+. It deals self shock damage when shot, and while the healing is not very strong, well, at least you replenish shield instead of losing it :P

That's it so far, there are many many other guns that can roll on shock and heal, some nades and launchers come to mind, but I am sure many of you have great suggestions! Will try to update this post including them, so it becomes useful for myself as self - reference guide, and maybe even helpful for others!

+Super Streamer+, Upon reaload it thorws and explodes with a cluster of nades, which dropped my 40k shields in an instant, so it seems to be a very good synergy

+Shock Tigg's Boom+, also allows to go mad with it without worrying about dying due to point blank shots.

+Storming Boom Sickle+, finally got one and so far it melts (one-two shots annointed enemies) on m3, and heals my 60k shields in a point blank / floor shot, so I think it's one of the best combos with The Transformer, at the level of a Shock Lob.

[Astral Projection]

How about a Shock Anarchy? When you reload Anarchy it throws an AOE grenade with whatever element the gun has. Its easy to kill yourself with the reload nade if you arent careful.

Sounds like a veeery good idea! Will have to check out, iirc my couple Anarchies are not shock element, but will get one soon and give it a try, sounds very feasible!

Another gun Im trying to get to experiment with it would be a Shock Boom Sickle.

Will report back once tested, thanks for the ideas!

More tests:

While lacking a Shock Anarchy by now, I tried with the Super streamer shotgun, which is similar (except the stacks red text ofc), and has a shock version.

Upon reaload it thorws and explodes with a cluster of nades, which dropped my 40k shields in an instant, so it seems to be a very good alternative XD.

Makes a very nice effect that could have been good with the Transformer, but it doesn't seem to deal self damage (tried with a fire one but still doesn't self damage, so I think we can sadly scratch it off the list)

The purple "alien" shotgun that shoots grenades that spawn more grenades and well, usually gets u half dead xD has a shock version that is both powerful and great for replenishing shields.

I just replaced a shock anarchy for this one, as the first was overkill for my tvhm run and wasnt half that good with transformer.
