Chests not resetting?

Resetting to the main menu respawns bosses like usual, but the chests aren't reset. I imagine this is a bug from the latest patch, right?

Edit: Not even quitting to the desktop restores these chests.

Really? I've made manual resets for bosses and loot farming and this has never happened to me until now.

The chests generally never reset with quitting, there are a few exceptions, like the proving grounds ones I think they do, but most are timed.
I don't know if you can cheat the system by changing the clock on your pc

this... give or take, 45 minuits...

farming chests is kinda "meh" though... did a farming run with 4 chests in it this week and filled my backpack 4 times with nothing then legendaries dropped from enemies... found 0 from the chests

Nope. Chests should restart when you quit to main menu.
Try F5, OP, then see last tab, see anything strange there?

I generally try to ensure that I'm on online mode all the time, since my connection is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that it tends to disconnect and reconnect frequently, especially given the bonuses for this month.

I think he means: he killed the boss, open the loot, then go to main menu, continue the game, kill the boss again, repeat.

There were also the times where I frequently checked the chests in The Droughts and Floodmoor Basin when I was taking full advantage of the vending machine legendary event. They reliably reset every time.

Idk about connection, but I'm doing what you trying to do for the last 3 hours and it works just fine.

I've never noticed a problem with the chests, but then, I'm not trying to farm them, either. That's…not appealing to me. I's much rather multi-kill baddies and bosses to farm good loot, sometimes by leaving the area to explore elsewhere until they respawn, other times quitting to menu and returning for re-engagement.

Update: I switched vault hunters and I'm able to do this as my first, main vault hunter, who has long since beaten the main plot, both DLCs, and has reached the level cap. The chests just don't seem to reset for my second vault hunter who has only beaten the main plot and hasn't reached the level cap. Which is a shame because the chests could really help providing some up to date legendaries.

I definitely understand. I'm mostly in the same boat, but I wouldn't question providence if it's handed to me. When I farm the Agonizer on the way I take a peek into those two red chests. Sadly, it seems that this glitch is preventing me from doing so on this vault hunter.

Sometimes you have to restart the world 2 times to have them reseted. Guess it is a bug

They just updated this week's patch so you will receive legendaries from Rare (not Red) chests.

They just updated this week's patch so you will receive legendaries from Rare (not Red) chests.

I thought Rare and Red chests were one and the same? Either way, I indeed have found legendaries in red chests since the update.

Update: Levelled up my second Vault Hunter (Moze) to level 57. Chests still don't reset. I think my game hates Moze.
