Circle of Slaughter Group Etiquette?
Hey so I played through the campaign twice solo on Flak/Amara and am just starting to get into group farming.

I was just in the COV slaughter arena (lvl 54, non-mayhem). With a full group. Between rounds I'm trying to pick up the guns to vendor everything but legends. But then they spam the "all players not ready" and shoot their guns at me. So I'm like "oh ok, they must wait till the end"

So then we finish all 5 rounds and I"m trying to loot and they immediately turn in the quest and start spamming the start round button. So I just a whole other slaughter on the same map and we again finish round 5.

This time I type "hey can i please loot?" Then they both quit the game. No mics, no typing the whole time just the spamming and shooting at me to hurry up.

I still need money for SDUs and I was literally just selling legendaries without having time to read them. I figured since it wasn't MH4 people would still need money and stuff.

Do people literally just farm these for xp and only loot legends? Or did I just get grouped with some spaz's? I would have left the game, so they could keep chain farming, but then I lose out on all the loot still on the ground.

What's the social protocol for this?

unfortunately in every game with matchmaking and no server browser/lobby you'll end up with bad apples like these from time to time (atleast they werent toxic and talked trash at you in chat/voice)

best to join the BL3 discord or BL3 reddit discord and look for people to group with there....

there's also that one guy who periodically posts here about his "helping others / chill gaming bl3 group" see if you can reach him out.

edit:
here's one of that person's threads (i think they're nice but have no experience with them personally):

So I guess I was lucky so far. After round 5, nobody was rushing or impatient, so I always had enough time to check all the loot. Playing with randoms most of the time, not many friends playing this game. Its just about the people :).

yeah it's a hit or miss. depends on the region you've selected in matchmaking as well as the time of the day

welcome to online gaming...

seriously... what did you expect from playing with random people?

just get some decent items and solo the damn thing :) but seeing you didn't even unlock your SDU's you're a bit early trying to farm end game aren't you?

Sometimes it can be very weird with random players, sometimes you get some really nice people for just chill gaming and a little bit of communication. But yeah the better way is to play with some friends and then you dont get these problems or misunterstandings, what ever. If you guys want to play together in a cool and relaxing way feel free to add me ingame, see you there :) Shiftname is: ozwei

I haven't really played Bl3 in public mode, the only times I did the first person to enter was obviously using cheats (immortal and/or all of Fl4k's pets active at the same time, etc.) or they went about accepting every side quest without hassitation/communication. (I like to save them as "new" content for the next playthrough and only do SQs when I'm heavily under leveled for main.)

But I played around 60% of my time in BL2 and BLTPS in public and it was generally fine. There were a few ingame cheaters but most of the times it was just people with cheated gear from Gibbed, which wasn't actually that bad gameplay wise (their cheated gear balanced out against their pore skill/knowledge).

What I learned from there is: etiquette is whatever the host decides. It's their lobby that others join and they have the power to revert back to private or to kick at any time.

Bl3 public games seem to suffer from the lack of a lobby browser, lack of Gibbed (more using ingame cheats), the ease of playing with friends even if at different levels and the fact so many people feel entitled these days.
