The game makes me feel physically tired.
Yeah, i'm physically exhausted when playing this game, I never had a game giving me this issue before. The writting is so bad, the NPC never shut the hell up, after 40min I just want to close the game and take a freaking nap.

I play with friends and after 40 min of playtime we're absolutely washed out.

We’re currently in DLC 2, and we’re having a hard time going forward, game just feel like a chore, we already reached the max level before we even started the first DLC, this game has a big problem with the XP and loot rate, profusion of orange loot which makes you careless about what you can get, max level reached too quickly (whereas you could make 2 run of Borderlands 2 while leveling up) it's a looter shooter with nothing to drive you forward, the +0.10 melee attack with the equivalent of the new badass tokens is cute but come on, that's not enough at all.

In the end the only thing that can keep you playing is the game writting, and oh my, that's when you realise how it just plain suck, I have nothing to add as everyone already talkted about it. But during the main game you could just stick to the leveling.

the NPCs just NEVER shut the hell up, it's incredible, it feels like the game vomits constantly bad jokes on you and try hard 24/7 to give you a smile without success, while you are fighting against 15 enemies with a profusion of effect and particle on the screen, you can't even communicate with your friends because the NPCs never shut up and talks while you're trying to speak to a friend, I have never seen something like this , I wouldn't be surprised if there was more dialogue in Borderlands 3 than in Fallout New Vegas.

I swear it's the first time that a video game manage to get me physically tired just because of the dialogues.

I'm a big fan of 1 and 2, especially Borderlands 2, I waited for the steam release with a high level of hype, now playing the game just feel like a chore.

Please tell me I'm not the only one. :Miller:

I agree with the OP. It's pretty bad when you have to find a place to hide from the NPCs so you can go through your inventory (we hide in the alcove to the right of Marcus' machines on Sanctuary -- for whatever reason, the NPCs don't find us there and don't blather at us).

I have been playing with dialogue volume at 0. You still hear Pandora Radio but none of the Npc characters. I will only turn on dialogue volume for new content and then it goes back to 0.

Cant u disable shout-outs in the game options to stop pointless dialog?

Never toggled it.

That's actually a good idea

BL1: players whine the game has too few NPCs, world feels lifeless, story non-existent.

There's no pleasing Steam's playerbase, it's ALWAYS something. I gave you a solution.

Luckily the Devs understand that a large amount of players share your stance.
This recent dev update from the News tab details it.

Hopefully once they implement all these changes it will be more enjoyable.
I just hope "under-performing gear" includes non-legendary(and hopefully also non-unique) weapons.

In BL2 I used almost exclusively E-tech and uniques. The unique weapons in this game are left behind in the dust right now and Alien weapons have weak scaling for how rare they can be.

Psst. You are on steam right now. So you are one of the steam users that you are insulting... cute.
As soon as Raaaaaaaaaaandy bad mouthed the steam community it was on like donkey mong man... don't know why people don't expect a certain cause and effect...
I was a total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and now people are calling me an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for some reason!

Those are lines your characters say, not NPC characters.

I'm unaware of RP's comments about the Steam Community (Link Please), but I'm sure they weren't too far off the mark.

I've only ONE complaint, a nitpick actually, about BL3:
For those of us who do NOT play the BL series for story, please allow NPCs to first offer the Mission Item, then give the boring exposition, so we'll not waste any playtime and can immediately Fast-Travel to the objective.

Everyone's giving you flak, but the writing is bad and the characters side dialogue is annoying

You're not the only one. Listening to Ava is a task of suffering
