Yeah, I had to restart the game since she wouldn't move up to the last door she needed to open.
Everybody rags on Ava, but she's the most normal person in the game.
Agreed, she the only one who acts appropriate for her age, unlike every adult in the game.
Maya an adult and she can even walk to the end of the map without you holding her hand the whole way there, lol.
Even Ava made it there on her own...
Also, most players are probably too young to have their own kids while being too old to remember they were just like her at some point.
Yep, she's mid teens. That was a horrible time period for me. LOL I can't imagine how much worse it is for her with all the ♥♥♥♥ in the game happening around her. Hell, just that little stint with her diary made me more sympathetic to her than I already was. Every time I see her I want to giver her a hug.
I'm nearly 40 and I remember what an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I was in my teens. I still am to some extant, but I'm much more mellow these days!
This problem is what made BL2 story almost as awful as BL3 story. The only redeeming quality of BL2 story was Handsome Jack. His character. That's it. Every damn part of the story is vomit inducingly bad.
EDIT: Also yeah, just quitting to main menu and hitting continue again will 99% solve your problems.
Maya told her stories of vault hunting and lets be real; Maya a badass and Ava idolized her enough to think they are invincible.
Her head was in the clouds when Maya lectured her.
The horror Ava got when she found out there are scarier things then incompetent Maliwan guards and bandits that can kill heroes.
Ever spoke to Ava after the incident in her room, you see she completely changed her demeanor.
Also spoiler:
Ava history was purposely never spoken to the player why,
As in Maya knows why Ava was going to be a Siren and only told Lilith (off screen from player) and Lilith left control of Sanctuary 3 to Ava with out any reason to the player.
People wrote that off as bad writing but really but they kept Ava true purpose hidden why she so importent, only Maya and Lilith know the true secret and they are both gone.
It's interesting writing like this that makes this B3 story intresting to see what in B4...
I've actually seen something like this in real life. Literally, this same type of situation, kid is somewhere they aren't supposed to be, parent figure dies protecting them, kid has a breakdown and shunts blame to others.

but seriously, MasterZoen, it seems you've already found the best solution for the bug.
