Weapon brands will send you mail for completing their weapon challenges, which often sport blue/purple weapons. Check your mail often.
You can also send items/weapons to your friends using this feature.
why they made this a thing is beyond me... it's just a waste of time... even developing will allways be a time better spent on something usefull...
Actually it's pretty useful if you are playing on a high level character and then decide to level another character, you can claim the guns on the new character and sell them to get a nice boost in SDU's.
and leveling a character in this game is easy... no need for those guns...
I’ve used plenty of them on my first play through. I even got some of my fav guns through it.
But like you said, you can ignore it. Seems like you already fixed your problem, dude.
This feels like a very personal opinion, rather than any kind of fact. It's fine if you don't use them or open them, but some people find them useful. Nothing really to argue over. <shrugs>
