Who regrets buying this?

I seen players from both Epic and Steam saying that they regret buying the game. Mostly due to the story/villains. How about you? So far I am super disappointed. The only good thing so far is Moxxis Heist. The new DLC was just boring and a really dumb idea.Not sure whats worse, BL3 or BL1.

Over 100 hours and I have only 1 toon max lvl I'd say it is a pretty good buy.

It doesn't bang like BL2. I beat that game with almost all the characters including dlc.

It's just freakin fun and funny. Looter & shooter, exactly what its meant to be. Pain and Terror aka Penn and Teller is hilarious to me. Ice-T's voice as a Teddy Bear, ha! Brilliant. Even if you did buy at full cost, because you appreciate the franchise, how can anyone say they regret getting a game that is purely entertaining, at times challenging and game time/play rewarding?

Once you finish the story, who even pays attention to it anymore anyway. I know in BL2 after I finished that story I skipped it and shut it out of my mind as much as possible through all my many, many playthroughs.

Just grit your teeth and finish it and learn to ignore it. And this is just another BL game.

Honestly... the villains where cringy in the beginning, then when they later toned down their streaming shtick and where just acting like.. well.. douchy villains, they where actually good characters.

got it (super deluxe edition) for 50% off pre-purchase a day or two before steam launch, and would've still gotten it for full price. i like the series mainly for the diablo-like aspect and the fun gameplay

the story for me, isn't the best amongst the whole series but it isnt bad either in my opinion. though there are a lot of cringy parts, i mostly treat the story/lore like how i treat mmorpg stories/lore (like as long as the game is fun i have no problem even if the story is subpar - in bl3's case it isnt even that bad imo)

my main issue is that they should fix the netcode, while i have no issues joining and coop-ing with other people, there's a lot of rubberbanding and intermittent lag spikes even if you have below 100 ping to your peer/friend... and using vehicles is near-impossible when you get the aforementioned lagspike/rubberbanding (hover wheels help though lol)

borderlands 3 compared to other BL dont made me laugh at all. Missed the cheesy joke parts. Poor gearbox. First of all they split the PC community because of Greedy bas stards and whoever wrote this story needs to get fired instant with a kick in his nuts!

To be honest after 100hours the air is out. I got anything on level 57. Why i still play? Its fun to make ppl say i make ridicolous damage. There is no real point to farm weapons wich was a huge part in other Bl's. No real raid. No theramorpheus or content that would make me stay for other 100hours.

The story and villains are crap, but I still do not regret buying it. It is a lot of fun to play, the loot is cool, and some of the characters are still really good.

Also, I like both DLC's so far. I mean...in the new one there is a cookbook called the Nibblenomicon....that's freaking awesome.

BL3 is fantastic. How many games give you the opportunity to blow up not one but TWO social media "influencers"? Probably not that many. I agree that BL2 had a superior story (it's the best in the series after all), but absolutely everything else about BL3 is an improvement over 2: guns, vehicles, climbing/sliding/slamming, soundtrack, voice acting, skill tree and action skill options, the entire user interface, mayhem mode, the list goes on... how can anyone hate a game that has Ice-T in it?

And yeah, The Pre-Sequel had slamming, but aside from the Australian accents it didn't have much else to offer. BL3 took everything great about BL2's gameplay, turned it up to 11, then added Ice-T.

My only gripe about the gameplay really is that there aren't enough robots to destroy, but there's DLC for that.

To answer the orginal question, no I don't regret buying this, because it has less Claptrap and more Ice-T. The Penn & Teller cameo was mindblowing as well. If Gearbox is reading this, please put Magic Johnson in a future release.

Gameplay was a lot of fun, and I loved both DLC chapters so far. The heist was a lot of fun, and the Lovecraftian atmosphere and music for GL&T was great. Story/writing of the main game was a little weak, and the villains I agree were not very well designed - but it's tough to follow Handsome Jack. I still enjoyed the game quite a bit and do not regret buying it.

bought it a few weeks after launch... i'm not super bummed about it... but if i knew, i would have waited for the whole package...

the main story is just so BOOOOOOORING -__-
