I died 5 or 6 times. He was the boss I died the most on during my entire Normal playthrough. But, ultimately, a lot of my deaths were due to user error (i.e. mistiming jumps, accidentally bumping his forcefield and getting flung off, etc.). His actual health pool was so small, I think the fight lasted <2 mins or something when I did clear it. Which part(s) did you struggle with or are you struggling with?

keep getting hit with a random one hit shot from nowhere that puts me in FFYL mode then he explodes everyone and I have nothing to kill. on the 6th attempt mayhem 4.

plus just obnoxious fight in general, boss hides behind an invincible tank the entire time floating around like a spaz, hides under a shield regenerating... basically the perfect example of how to design a bad boss.

fight just DRAAAAAAGS on forever and isn't fun to repeat... not even hard at all just really stupid lame.

Hated that boss. I think if the jumps were a hair easier, or bypassable altogether, it'd be a lot easier.

I guess I didn't have those issues since I played on Normal with no mayhem. I burned his health bars so fast he never really even got off an attack.

still gotta deal with those nonsense jumps right? didn't find that hard tho aside from bouncing off the shield once when I tried actually jumping up there vs just shooting them as I passed on the floating rocks.

Yeah, like I said in my original response, that's where most of my deaths came from. I think I only died once during the actual fight in the courtyard and that was the first time I saw him obtain his invincible shield and wasn't sure how to handle it from FFYL.

Died once due to the jumps because the pillar came crashing down right on my platform.

lol I already beat it, just had to vent a little bit so I could go back more focused less annoyed =)

and it really wasn't that difficult, just had rotten luck with random FFYL stuff coming out of nowhere, and probably one or two my fault dumb moves.

I still hate that enemy type tho, very annoying.

Definitely the most frustrating one for my beastmaster thus far.

Its not that he is particularly strong, its just a fight that combines many of the little things, that tend to be most annoying.

Exploding kamikaze mobs, check.

Platform jumping, of a variety that can leave you screwed (one death was just last crystal went down due to a ricochet and well there was no way in hell, I could make it from the small floating platform back to the central on its way back to center. I felt like Wile E, Coyote after looking down), check.

Wiping out of all mobs by boss, check.

Overbuffing of a particular mob, to make it an harder to kill meat shield that blocks second winds off weaker mobs, check.

Anyone one of those things, have the potential to frustrate. Having all of them, all but guarantees we get frustrated once or twice with the fight overall.

Once you beat him thou, its a good feeling after. Even if you need to have a smoke to recover after.

I actually ran out of ammo on every weapon type. I wouldn't say it was "hard" as much as it was tedious and exhausting. Then to go on and waste the end game boss in a minute . . . .

lol you dont even need to use the floating stones,just stand on something high up and shoot the crystals

i did it on M3 and it took a little bit, 4 tries i think, kept running out of ammo...yeah i didn't like it very much too, be ready because the twins is gonna be a little bit annoying as well

I already beat the main game.

got to the next empowered ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in dlc2 and just quit after he pulled the same lame hide under shield and heal tactics.
