So let's say you have "+50% corrosion dmg on skill end" on your grenade, same anointment but with shock dmg on your shield, and something like +150% rad dmg when under half hp on your gun. Just get a skill that adds cryo (ez with Zane) or fire dmg (ez with Moze) and voilà ! That's a neat +20% damage already. Then get a weapon (gun/grenade) that can proc the last missing element and you've got yourself the full fat free +25% damage.
One essential thing to note: this bonus damage isn't snuggling itself in some forgotten corner of the dmg equation. It's right on top. Meaning a boost to your TOTAL damage. Downright wacko numbers popping on your screen with this beauty of a skill.
