Motion sickness ?
I have played many FPS and I never experienced motion sickness in a game before until now after playing a few hours of this which I assume to be motion sickness. Does anyone else experience this or something similar ? Is there anything that can help such as turning off a setting in game ? I have motion blur off and FOV to 100.

assuming you're playing on your native/ideal screen resolution: try setting your FOV to 110 from 100, if that doesnt do much (and i doubt it will, since it's a very small increment) try moving the monitor further away from you (more distance) and adjust your seating and view angle of your monitor

Are your fps constant? The going up and down could cause MS. I used to feel it sometimes even with constant fps, but after starting to sit far away from the monitor things are perfect. Give it a try!

I've never had this issue with any Borderlands game, but my girlfriend did have motion sickness issues with earlier titles (2 and TPS). When I took a look at her rig, I figured out why. She was playing on anywhere from 5 to 15 FPS. Since it was her first FPS, she didn't know any better. I'm assuming that's not your problem, though?
The other comment I'll make is that BL3 is far more taxing than previous entries in the series have been on my computer and I've had to downgrade my graphics details from Max to Low/Very Low in order to avoid FPS drops, as suggested by Kurohito.

Is Vsync off? What does cause motion sickness?
Borderlands games do have flashy weapon effects. I personally avoid some weapons cause of this.

I experience motion sickness in other games, but haven't had that issue here. (Usually get it with weird lens effects and low FOV)

I noticed that it's easier to get it if I'm already a bit sick, lacking sleep etc.

I couldnt play BL2 due to motion sickness but do not get that effect from BL3. going to try to mirror settings and see if BL2 causes me any issue.

Motion blur and FOV are the culprits for me at least, I bought BL1 at release and it didn't have a slider then so I had to refund, didn't wanna buy it again when they did add one so I missed out on that game

You can also turn off the shaking effect when you are moving.

Thanks I am going to check my FPS as it could be an inconstancy issue.

I had the same problem when I started playing it, I turned headbobbing off and it stopped.
Hope it works for you too

I tend to have to deal with motion sickness in most first person games. For me increasing FOV tends to make it worse, usually 90 is ok, some games I have to drop it to 70. View bobbing is another big issue, I usually have to turn that off when possible.

Sometimes neither of those solves it, but the thing I've found with video game related motion sickness is you can usually build up a temporary tolerance to it. Play until you start feeling a little ill, then take a break, then jump back in the game when you are feeling better. For me doing that for 2-3 days usually gets me over the issue. When I stop playing first person games for a few weeks or a month that tolerance fades and I have to do it again the next time I want to play.

This one really depends on the screen your using. Similar here. For me anything above 100 results in motion sickness (and very low like 60). 90 is the sweetspot for my screen ( which is also is way due for an upgrade). I always turn off motion blur wherever possible, dont like it

More noticable in some games than others
