Angels and Speed Demons

So I need to drive the truck with the Dr Tannis device back through the long winding canyon. BUT the truck gets continually shot out from under me with very few shots. I must have tried this 15 or more times. So I walk/run to one of the closest reconstruction pads. BUT they do not seem to also reconstruct the Dr Tannis device. Just a run of the mill regular truck. I guess I don't get what should be done. Could use some suggestions on this. TX

you done it in tvhm or in the normal playtought ? i done it the vehicle was destroyed 2-3 time and its fine

I don't really know. How can I determine what mode I am in? I tried to check that out but could not find out which one it was. As far as I know I have been playing normal mode unless it changed and I did not notice that. I know I have done the first vault at least. And kept on the story line I think, or at least should have. Mose the Gunner is at level 38 right now.

Go to "reconstruction pad" and use "respawn" button, not your regular "use" button. You can even drive/run to map`s end and safely spawn it there i think.

You don`t need to rush. Don`t drive fast. You can safely wait out enemy vehicles, they will just speed ahead. You can exit your vehicle at any time and snipe enemy towers.

("tvhm" is unlocked after you complete the game once)

It just seems like Mose is getting rushed or blindsided with bigger groups then It seemed to me when I played BL1 & 2. Maybe not.

I would have thought that if I was to respawn the truck at any of the marked reconstruction pads that the vehicle would appear WITH the Dr. Tannis Device. It just would not do that. I guess it will be a drive/stop and get out/Attack enemy then drive on. If I get into a real dust up I will this time try to back out the truck quickly enough and perform the ground attack sequence as much as needed. Again TX.

What we do, solo or team, is either the team goes ahead to massacre everything so the truck driver has a free clean drive, or if I am solo I will swap to my own vehicle first and drive that all the way to the end, then use the vehicle respawn at the very end to summon the quest truck.
