Very boomer-esque to think that 'toxic fanbases' are anything like the COV as well. The same type of person thinks that Logan Paul and Pewdiepie are basically the same thing.
Not to mention Handsome Jack is a really tough act to follow. Troy had his moments but Tyrese is just annoying but just about anything that isn't Jack is gonna be put on blast.
The very use of the word 'scrub' is so 'hello fellow kids' it hurts, nobody has used that word in maybe a decade.
Also I think the Twins would've been a bit funnier if they would've came out with BL3 like 5 years ago or whenever Twitch streaming started to become pretty popular. It was a stale meme by the time the game released.
Personally though I felt BL3's story was very weak along with the main antagonists. The BL2 plot might've not be amazing but Handsome Jack was a great enemy because he was complex unlike the twins. He wasn't an entirely terrible person and he actually had some reason for becoming evil.
The twins on the other hand are pretty much pure evil and they don't really have much reason to be evil. There was a few moments where Troy actually looked like he might have some humanity, but they never went anywhere with it. They also never went anywhere with the conflict that started to build up between Tyreen and Troy.
enjoying borderlands 3, though.
edit: asmongold as a dishonorable mention to the above two.
why capitalise that? logically i know im not being called out but i feel like im being called out
Just feels like people want to hate the game at this point simply for the fact that Randy is still in charge and they feel hurt by 2k. I'm not very far in but so far it's been pretty tame and standard borderlands fashion. kinda too tame in a spooky way.
Everything the employees go through and have gone through I know it must really suck to want to make a living but folks are just stepping all over it and forgetting how much effort went into it and there's others lower in the line of command that exist. Yea it can be a bit janky or different but its not the trash folks are making it seem like.
who knows though. maybe i'll have a different opinion by the end.
His sister only left the clan.
Ellie is his sister that left the clan, partly to avoid becoming the "clan wife".
Laney White is his cousin that went far away to live with the 7 rats.
