Jabbermogwai not multiplying in water

Has anyone else had this issue? I can lead the Jabbermogwai into the water in Voracious Canopy, but it never multiplies. I'm playing FL4K, and am close to maxing out the Stalker skill tree on my first playthrough. I usually have the Beefcake Jabber accompanying me. Does any of that affect anything?

Go for smg, much better than shotgun. A big plus if you uses "Hit skill" instead of "Kill skill".

How does this affect the Jabbermogwai not multiplying when it's in the water? Does it have to take a certain amount of damage first?

You're probably better off using cryo attacks to multiply it rather than chancing it with the water. Cryo attacks are guaranteed to multiply that thing.

ive never had water multiply them since day one, but cryo has always made them split for me, throw a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of recurring cryo hex grenades and mop em up with fire and u get good loot. to get a GUARANTEED 100% drop of a hellfire u need to kill it with fire BEFORE it goes off the wooden platform
