Swamp Bro Revive Chadd bug

If you revive him as the quest objective changes to revive Chadd, game bugs out.

Restart the game. The quest is locked in that state and you can revive him again, then it works fine. Just had that happen today.

Also ran into this. Killed him with a nearby barrel to avoid re launching the game.

Yep, had to reload. A similar bug happened with Brick in The Anvil where he was stuck in combat mode and only followed me menacingly, despite the quest asking me to talk to him.

I had the brick anvil bug, but I never seen the chadd bug on 3 different playthroughs

Yeah, bug still there. It must be hard-locked to the level and they'd have to replace it entirely, which if some people have not updated their game, could result in multi-player issues... At least this bug can be fixed simply by reloading your game. A nuisance but not game breaking like the Slim side quest in the Cowboy DLC.

2025 an just now playing the game first play threw an chad would not talk to me after reviving. going to try an restart game to see if that fixes.

This bug is well known.

Do not revive Chadd, wait for prompt and wait at least 5 seconds when the prompt shows up.

Quick revive is likely to cause this bug. Simply put, don't revive immediately when Chadd is down. Wait for the speak dialog and action to complete first.
