Good FL4K builds?
This is my second playthrough, but I'm just unsure of how to build them. Currently using Spiderant + Fade, any ideas?

Playing crit build. Even without endgame loot I am able to deal insane amount of damage:

https://bl3zone.com/planner/AAB5CO5CQ3CS1CU3CV3CW5DA3DB3DE5DG3DH3DI1DJ2DK1DL2DN-ac1ATpe1AZau1AVau2BA

(It shows 48/51, but all skill points are used, they have some error there)

Why are you using Guerrillas in the mist in a Crit Build????

It litteraly halves the crit damage

Deem. Im using pretty much the same build with no template. Even the skill on blue.

Oh yea. It depends on your fire rate and its not global crit nerf but skill nerf.

Test and results:

*Using slow sniper rifle to avoid triggering too many possible extra effects.

3600 Normal shot.
11k NormCrit.
14k SkillCrit with Guerrilla
20k SkillCrit without Guerrilla

Now: lets count 10 shots with calculator. Again, to avoid triggering extra bonuses.
11x10=110k NormCrit.
14x10=140k SkillCrit with Guerrilla
20x3+11x7=137k SkillCrit without Guerrilla

Now: lets count 20 shots with calculator. Again, to avoid triggering extra bonuses.
11x20=220k NormCrit.
14x20=280k SkillCrit with Guerilla
20x3+11x17=247k SkillCrit without Guerrilla

So, Guerrillas WIN even before those notes:
1. You need to aim perfectly or be lucky to get 20 Normal crits in a row.
2. You need to aim perfectly ot be lucky to get 17 Normal crits in a row after using a skill.
3. Guerilla guarantees all the crits you can put in 5 second window.

The skill description failed to mention that you're not limited to 3 bullets of crits anymore, but that ALL of your shots are crits in that timespan

No, no it isn't.

Fade without Guerrillas in the Mist is simply: longer duration, 3 guaranteed crits (assuming you land all 3 shots.)

Fade WITH Guerrillas in the Mist is a shorter duration, but you can fire more than 3 crit shots (again, assuming you land all of them) at the cost of possibly reduced damage. Currently playing the game with this augment, with a level 40 Maggie, and its a good augment with some weapons, though its way too situational.

You said that description failed to mention that you are not limited to 3 shots anymore.
It clearly states that skill no longer end if you shoot.

So it is the same thing as saying that you are no longer limited to 3 bullets.
What the hell man :D

Nvm. you did not say that. I actually fail to see what you disagree with.

However Guerillas is very strong. I can easily empty 17 bullet mag of Stark sniper in this time.
Leaving boss at Eden 6 with about 10% HP even in mayhem 2 after one fadeway. Stronk stuff.

I'm 53 FL4K with only using found legendary items (haven't farmed anything yet). The only thing that gives me trouble is the Wotan boss in the Maliwan takedown, but I've only tried it twice (solo), so once I learn the fight it may be easier.

Corrosive Spiderant and I switch between Rakks and Fade. I levelled exclusively with Rakks which I found great to take out tough enemies, especially during a reload. Very few things levelling gave me any trouble.

Orange tree + Green tree. Love the extra ammo on crit node and the crit anywhere node (duh), and the pet revive you thing has saved me a couple of times. Have a class mod that gives +5 to healing nodes from the green tree, so my pet rarely if ever dies if I'm using that.

with a bangstick set to sticky mode you can kill graveward in one fade, skip destroyers phases etc. on mayham 4. it goes faster with switching to unforgiven o/c.
Prometheus Mar 25, 2020 @ 12:42am
To properly explain what Sekzon means. If you use a Torgue gun (shotguns generally best) in sticky mode with Guerrilas you can apply all your sticky shots in Fade. Then when you exit Fade trigger the explosions, they are still all crit tagged and you lose the crit damage penalty.

He mentions Unforgiven because its the weapon with the highest crit modifier in the game. You can unload a clip of stickies into a crit spot (or use Guerrilas) then switch to Unforgiven while they are detonating.

Both of these are obviously exploiting the fact that sticky shots do not snapshot their crit damage stat when fired.

As for a good Flak build. My current one is simple.

Most of my points are in Hunter. All of the tier 1 talents. Head Count. Twin Fang. Both tier 4 talents. Shadow and Megavore. Now, Grim Harvest is very good. However you are getting a lot of offense already. Also soon the level cap is going to increase and then we'll be able to get two capstones. So passing on it here lets you get The Power Inside from Stalker. Which I recommend.

On the way to The Power Inside the key pickups are The Fast and The Furryous, Furious Attack and Eager to Impress. The rest take whatever you like.

Your choices are thus Rakks/Fade and the Spiderant/Jabber. I like the Rakks and Gunslinger Jabber. Use either the Rakks legendary com or the Bounty Hunter legendary com.

it also works without unforgiven. the reason it works is because you can fire faster in sticky mode i.e. get more bullets into it before fade ends. the crit dmg is just an added bonus. also works when firing while fade still active. also looks like you dont understand the fade away crit penalty from guerrillas obviously. if i trigger the explosions when leaving fade away i have no crit dmg bonus since it's related during the time fade is activated but yeah obviously exploits lol. why you be like this ^^ ? cheers m8~

I still explain further. Guerrillas add 25% of crit damage instead of 200%

If u read my test result above you will see something further interesting.
That those numbers might be confusing too.
Actually it seems to be:
Fadeaway: 200% Crit or actually: +100%
Guerrillas: 125% Crit or actually + 25%

Since it might seem like Guerrillas nerf your crit 175% but it nerfs 75% actually.
