Shift Friends?

I purchased the game, sadly my key from the store I got it from was for Epic's Launcher only...

Are Steam players forced to log-in to Shift or whatever the heck Epic's Launcher is to play BL3? Seems like every game is going that route.. like Bethesda and FO76, Rage 2, etc.. I know other launchers are the same for their "exclusives"... but everything eventually hits Steam.

Looking for some folks to play with... my Epic (SHiFT) Friend List has a few friends on it, don't even remember adding them must have been awhile back.

But my username is jareyabee22 I must have made my Epic account very late one night since I misspelled my own Alias lol.. should have been "jayarebee22"... still confused as I think I have two Epic accounts.

But the one I am using currently for Borderlands 3 is jareyabee22 ... Add me if you want to play some co-op or anything.. I haven't done much besides play the campaign solo, I loved playing BL2 with a good buddy of mine.. always had a blast!

Just want to see if their friend service works.... kinda waiting for Doom Eternal but I don't think I'll stop playing BL3 as there is literally nothing to do during this virus outbreak :(

BL3 uses own servers from Gearbox
and they have nothing to do with Epic and nothing to do with Steam so crossplay works.

MM (matchmaking) is kind of broken at the moment, so getting multiplayer experience with no issues will be rare. Now, on BL3, in the options I believe you can turn on an option that enables cross platforms plays. Where people can interact and play with each other (i.e. Steam, Epic, GOG,etc.) Also, feel free to add me too

No this option only works between
Epic and Steam player is planned to be able to use consoles at any time.
